**General duties and responsibilities include**:

- Operating a hydraulic excavator with both grapple and magnetic attachment
- Loading trailers with scrap material and sorting of materials
- Performing daily pre-trip inspections of equipment and accurate record keeping
- Advising manager of any defects in equipment or truck
- Heavy duty material handling in a scrap metal yard
- Must be able to be on the road 5 days of the week (accommodations will be provided)
- Safely move equipment from site to site.

**Skills / Qualifications**
- 2-3 years experience operating a hydraulic excavator (John Deer, Cat etc.)
- 2 years experience with an AZ license -manual operation only
- 2-3 years material handling experience - is an asset but also willing to train
- Mechanically inclined
- Self motivated and able to work independently
- Must thrive in fast paced work environment
- Must be organized, independent, resourceful and dynamic

**Certifications**:

- Valid AZ License
- Clean CVOR & Abstract

**Note that rate is negotiable depending on skills, experience and knowledge**

Pay: From $28.00 per hour

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay
