Port Hardy, Canada Pier Side Landing Hotel Full time

Pier Side Landing is seeking a full-time Housekeeper to join our team It is the Housekeeper responsibility to ensure customer satisfaction, maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation in guest rooms, hallways and designated public areas, according to established Hotel Housekeeping Standards.

The Housekeeper will work in direction of the Building Manager, to ensure guest rooms and office spaces are prepared for arrivals, and assist in the tracking of arrivals and departures of long term guests.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Clean and disinfect areas and items such as washrooms, vents, interior windows, walls, glass, doors and mirrors.
- Strip, wash and make beds; collect and fold linen.
- Damp mop hard floors.
- Vacuum carpeted areas and complete carpet extraction as needed.
- Remove all garbage from guest rooms.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Always maintain a safe environment (e.g. use of wet floor signs).
- Perform duties according to health and safety guidelines.
- Report all injuries and hazards to the supervisor immediately.
- Assist laundry team once daily duties have been completed.
- Other duties as requested by the building manager.

**Education and/or Work Experience Requirements**:

- Previous housekeeping experience, preferably hotel or commercial cleaning is an asset.
- Strong time management and organizational skills to be able to manage heavy workload.
- Good command of English language, both verbal and written.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Physical ability to perform all aspects of the job, including requirements to lift up to 20 pounds.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to work flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends and holidays

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: $16.25-$17.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
