Irving Shipbuilding Inc. is seeking a **Specialist, Defence Controls & Compliance**.

Reporting to the Team Lead, Defence Controls & Compliance, the Specialist, Defence Controls & Compliance (ACSO & Designated Official) has the primary role of coordinating access controls for both site access and information access. Complying with National Security Legislations, this position is required to work closely with both external and internal stakeholders to ensure various trade controls and security requirements are met and maintained.

**Qualifications**:

- Education:

- Post-secondary college diploma
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the Contract Security Program Alternate Company Security Officer designation
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the Controlled Goods Program Designated Official Certification
- Experience Required: At least 1 year working in an administrative capacity
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the Contract Security Program Alternate Company Security Officer designation
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the Controlled Goods Program Designated Official Certification
- Knowledge of the Contract Security Program Experience as a CSO/ACSO considered an asset
- Experience working within the defence industry
- Must have proficient communications skills and the ability to engage with all levels of Project teams and leadership
- Ability to build and maintain meaningful relationships with key stakeholders
- Must be a highly organized self-starter who is efficient in prioritizing workloads including multi-tasking to ensure deadlines and milestones are achieved
- Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro
- All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)._

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Providing training to internal and external stakeholders with regards to Security Requirements and Access Controls
- Request for Visit Coordination (Incoming and Outgoing)
- Maintaining Controlled Goods access Requirements
- Maintaining Contract Security Requirements
- Access Controls (Data/Physical site Access)
