Flex Server

**Position Summary**
Do you have a knack for building relationships with regular guests who might know you on a first-name basis? We are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic and guest service oriented Server to join our Food & Beverage team The successful applicant will be working mainly as a Cocktail server, delivering drinks to players on the gaming floor, but should expect to be scheduled in various roles in all outlets as needed. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Providing the VIP rock star experience for each and every one of our guests by taking orders, preparing drinks, greeting them by name and ensuring ultimate satisfaction
- Assisting other Servers as necessary
- Clearing tables, removing glasses and re-stocking if required
- Taking guest orders and making recommendations
- Handling payments by credit card, debit cards, chips and cash
- Entering transactions into the Point of Sales system
- Processing lottery transactions - Informing guests of any daily specials
- Explaining how menu items and beverages are prepared
- Presenting bills upon request and taking payments
- Ensuring food is expedited in a timely manner
- Restocking and replenishing areas as required
- Covering other sections if required
- Liaising and communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments
- Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Performing other duties as assigned or directed

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Legendary guest service skills with a “Make it Happen” attitude - Understanding of yourself as well as others when communicating with team members and guests
- A passion for providing Rockin’ It Service to our internal guests in the quest of achieving service excellence
- Live HRCV’s Values all day, every day: Respect, Original, Caring, Kickin’ Service, Integrity and No Excuses
- General knowledge of alcoholic beverages
- Serving It Right, Smart Serve or IGB certification, or the ability to obtain a Serving it Right Certification
- Ability to carry a full tray of drinks across the gaming floor
- The ability to stand for long periods of time
- Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills
- Excellent multi-tasking skills
- The ability to successfully obtain a criminal record check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB)
