**Production Assembler - Job Description**

The Production Assembler is responsible for the assembly of various custom cable products and ensures all work performed adheres to all organizational standards as well as safety regulations and guidelines.

**General Responsibilities**:

- Reading and understanding custom cable drawings
- Termination of connectors on wire and cable
- Soldering, crimping (using the machine and by hand), cutting wire and cable, potting connector backshells, finishing and testing of custom cable assemblies
- Follow all production procedures as instructed
- Understand and review the product through specified production processes, recognizing areas of defect and taking appropriate actions to rectify them.
- Perform all work to organizational standards to ensure final product meets quality standards
- Determine and report product and equipment malfunctions to the appropriate authority
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and assigned work area at all times
- Work effectively as part of a team to ensure productivity and efficiency
- Assure the daily and weekly production schedule is adhered to

**Required Skills & Qualifications**:

- Willing and able to follow specific instructions
- Ability to use basic power tools required.
- Soldering experience is considered an asset
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with little supervision
- Teamwork orientation
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow drawing and assembly instruction with no deviation
- Ability to communicate fluently (verbally and in writing) in English
- Ability to lift/move 50lbs (cable spools)
- Experience in a similar role or the manufacturing industry is considered a strong asset
- IPC training considered an asset

**Hours**:
Monday - Friday

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $16.00-$20.00 per hour
