We are looking to hire a **Groundskeeper** to be responsible for the landscaping and lawn maintenance of the outdoor grounds surrounding our expansive facility—mowing the lawns and maintaining the healthy growth of our trees and grass, and keeping the property uncluttered, clean, and well-manicured. The job is Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends.
- **Duties & Responsibilities**_
- Regularly watering and cutting the lawns
- Raking leaves and cuttings, and removing other debris to keep the lawns looking properly maintained at all times
- Keeping landscaping equipment—such as mowers, clippers, blowers, and so forth—in good working condition
- Planting and trimming trees and shrubs as required; and adding fertilizers appropriately to maintain healthy growth and appearance
- Spraying trees and plants to protect them from insects and diseases
- Duties will change due to seasonal work.
- **Skills & Qualifications Required**_
- Previous experience in a groundskeeping-related role, including part-time
- Experience in landscaping and gardening is considered an asset
- Thorough understanding of lawn and tree maintenance, and how best to care for them
- Familiarity with the use and maintenance of lawn and landscaping tools and equipment
- Sufficiently able-bodied to handle regular manual labour, including the ability to lift heavy materials and equipment
- Knowledge of all pertinent rules and regulations regarding the use of certain pesticides and herbicides
- Secondary School Diploma, or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.

**Experience**:

- Landscape maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
