**The Role**:
The Service Technician is responsible for responding to service calls, completing minor repairs, overseeing the work of trades, and collaborating with the Service Team to ensure that all work is completed on time.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Respond to scheduled service appointments to complete 30-day, 1 year and 2 year or internal service deficiencies.
- Perform minor repairs including drywall, trim, paint, and other areas as required.
- Update site and technician activity, production and provide a detailed report.
- Monitor trades while completing deficiency items in the home to ensure completion and adherence to service standards.
- Review and follow up with Service Coordinators on all scheduled appointment, service items and deficiencies until completed.
- Meet with service team monthly to review service calls, work orders and provide status updates.
- Complete minor repairs as part of the Model Home Maintenance Program, communicate to the sales team and oversee the quality and completion of work performed by trades on site.
- Preform any other duties as required.

**You will bring**:

- A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in carpentry and finishing repairs.
- Knowledge of and demonstrated proficiency in multiple trades functions such as carpentry, drywall, painting, etc. is a requirement, as is knowledge of various tools and equipment.
- Comfortable in the use of technology - smartphones, tablets, or computers to record, review and communicate information.
- Certified in Working at Heights, WHMIS, First Aid are preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic arithmetic skills, for example, in taking measurements, is essential.
- Flexible to move to different projects and jobs.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic - ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, and regular access to a vehicle.
- Must have own hand tools and drills.
