The Employment and Labour Market Services Division supports all British Columbians in achieving sustainable employment. To help those in need find and maintain employment, the division works with contracted service providers to provide job search resources, employment planning, skills assessment, training, work experience and more. The Divisional Services Branch is responsible for providing expertise in the areas of finance, quality assurance, risk management, planning, procurement, training, program analytics, federal compliance, systems support, website maintenance, and records management.

The Financial Officer is responsible for invoice review to ensure adherance to program and Government financial policy. This role identifies and tracks trends and makes recommendations for policy improvements to improve program and contractor compliance, and is responsible for supporting program financial reporting.

**Job Requirements**:

- Degree or Diploma in finance, accounting, business, economics or related field; **OR,** two (2) years of related experience in the field of financial management.
- Experience in conducting financial forecasts and analysis
- Experience analyzing financial and accounting statements and recommending reallocations.
- Experience using spreadsheets at an intermediate level (Microsoft Excel - includes: working with multiple worksheets, finding and replacing data, sorting and filtering database, setting up data validation, creating charts).

Preference may be given to applicants with:

- CPA designation, or working towards designation. Experience developing financial statements and reports.**About this Position**:
