ngx is looking for a Vancouver-based AV Technician to work with our team on a contract basis. Join us for the 1-month installation phase of a brand new immersive gallery experience.

**The Role**

You will be working with an international team of AV integrators on the installation and support of a one-of-a-kind immersive experience. This is an exciting opportunity to get involved with the rapidly growing field of interactive technology. The work will involve installing and configuring AV hardware such as video projectors, speakers, and interactive cameras. You must be comfortable working at heights from a scissor lift - holders of an aerial lift ticket are preferred. An ability to interpret schematic drawings and wiring diagrams is key. At the conclusion of the installation, you will be trained on the operation of the AV system. There will be ongoing opportunities for as-needed support work after the gallery has opened to the public.

Please note:

- ngx is committed to providing a safe and equitable work environment. PPE is required at all times on-site. Hard hats and safety vests will be provided. You must provide your own steel-toed shoes.
- The primary dates of the installation are July 10-22, 2023. During this period, we anticipate work to happen daily from 7am-5pm. During the period of July 24-August 5, we anticipate a part-time schedule for close-out tasks. Beyond those dates, there will be ongoing opportunities for as-needed support work.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Supporting the AV integration team in the installation and configuration of AV hardware such as video projectors, speakers, interactive cameras, and mounting hardware
- Interpret schematic drawings and wiring diagrams
- Work from heights in an aerial scissor lift
- Crimp network cables
- Provide as-needed support after the gallery has opened to the public

**Desired Experience and Skills**
- Demonstrated experience as an AV Technician
- Familiarity with hanging, mounting, focusing and configuring AV hardware
- An ability to learn quickly
- A service-oriented attitude - ability to be personable and establish trust with our client
- Outstanding attention to detail and diligence
- Commitment to delivering excellence and meeting high standards of quality
