**JOB SUMMARY**:
BizTech is seeking a well-qualified ‘**Banking and Financial Services Instructor**’ to join our team at the campus in Mississauga, Ontario. This strong personality will be responsible for planning, organizing, and teaching in a manner that associates with the values of BizTech College. The suitable person will be using a range of teaching strategies to meet and support the learning needs of our students along with incorporating a variety of creative tools and useful practices to maximize student involvement.

**MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Deliver lectures and practical sessions on banking, financial services, investment strategies, financial planning, and regulatory compliance.
- Provide academic support and guidance to students, including mentoring and advising on professional development.
- Evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, and practical projects, providing constructive feedback.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in the banking and financial services industry to incorporate relevant information into the curriculum.
- Participate in departmental meetings, contribute to program reviews, and assist with student recruitment and retention efforts.
- Conduct classes with a focus on the specific lesson plan and make the learning experience fun.
- Set up a systematic plan to teach the students that includes lectures, presentations, group discussions, interactive activities, independent and group projects.
- Utilize instruction techniques/methods that identify and consider requirements and learning capacities of students and change when required in response to students of needs.
- Maintain fair and consistent discipline with the students.
- Monitor student progress regularly and adjust courses accordingly.

**REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelor’s degree in finance, banking, or a related field; a Master’s degree or professional certifications e.g., Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Life License Qualification Program (LLQP); are often preferred.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of industry experience in the banking and financial services sector.
- Must have minimum of 2 years teaching experience in relevant course.
- Strong knowledge of financial products, services, and regulations.
- Proficiency in using financial software and tools.
- Should be familiar with Private Career Colleges and the Private Career Colleges Act (asset).
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

- Ability to motivate and mentor students.
- Strong communications skills (Written and Oral).
