The Messenger BCCA provides mail and messenger service to the BC Cancer Agency Vancouver Campus and the BC Cancer Foundation, and between the Vancouver Campus and Vancouver General Hospital. Sorts and prepares outgoing mail.

**What you’ll do**
- Provides mail and messenger service to the Vancouver campus and the BC Cancer Foundation by performing duties such as:
o Sorting incoming, interdepartmental, and outgoing mail.

o Making scheduled rounds of departments for pick-ups and deliveries.

o Making scheduled runs between Pharmacy and the hospital units and between the hospital units and Diagnostic Imaging.

o Obtaining and photocopying patient lists, duty rosters, therapy lists and resident lists for distribution.

o Making unscheduled deliveries and/or pick-ups when required.

o Processing and recording incoming and outgoing registered and special delivery mail.
- Provides mail and messenger service between the Vancouver Centre and Vancouver General Hospital by performing duties such as:
o Transporting such items as laboratory specimens, charts, X-rays and stat items.

o Maintaining records of X-ray requests and delivered.

o Following up on urgent requests for X-rays.

o Keeping departments advised regarding the status of missing X-rays.
- Delivers registered and special service mail to City Square postal outlet.
- Transports postage meter to City Square postal outlet for filling.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

**What you bring**

**Qualifications**:

- Grade 12 or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

- Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019).
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to operate related equipment
