**Responsibilities**:

- Travel daily to work site using company vehicle
- Assist Masonry Lead in the following:

- Undertaking work for building new structures as well as restoring old and damaged ones
- Cutting, polishing, and placing blocks of stone, brick, etc.
- Mixing required quantities of cement and mortar
- Maintaining tools, equipment, and other materials in proper working order
- Cleaning work surfaces before and after work
- Completing projects within the specified time and budget
- Wearing appropriate safety gears at all times

**Qualifications**:
Previous experience working in restorations, landscaping, or construction - physical labour and working outdoors
- A genuine interest in learning the trade with the goal of becoming a mason
- A high degree of physical fitness and strength; ability to lift and bend for extended periods of time
- A strong work ethic and willingness to work long hours, reporting to work at 7am
- Reliable and dedicated to schedules and timelines
- Ability to follow verbal directions accurately
- Ability to learn quickly
- Able to read and understand work drawings, project descriptions and numbers
- A problem solver and decision maker
- Excellent communication skills and able to professionally interact with clients and co-workers
- Respectful of client and company property and equipment
- A safety focused mindset
- Confident working on ladders and at heights
- Ability to provide own hand tools required to perform work duties
- Valid G class drivers license with clean driving abstract
- Previous experience working as a masonry a strong advantage, including mixing mortar, building scaffolding and cutting brick, block and stone, and performing quality workmanship on restoration projects_
