Boathouse Attendant

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Coordinator, with oversight from the General Manager on Concession-related duties, the Boathouse Attendant position will be responsible for a variety of duties including, but not limited to, the below:
**Boathouse Duties**:
- Clean and maintain boats, floatation devices, and other equipment as required
- Clean and maintain the fishing and dock areas as required (garbage removal, weeding, etc.)
- Assist with lake boat patrols as required
- Sign-out boats, floatation devices, and other equipment to members/guests as per LCRA rules
- Watch for emergencies and safety hazards on and around the lake, reporting issues to Supervisory staff and responding as required in the LCRA Emergency Response Procedures ∙
- Inspect all boats and equipment continually for damage; report damages/issues as required ∙
- Assist with additional duties as needed
**Concession Duties**:
- Operate the LCRA concession and cart (located at the Boathouse)
- Cash-handling, including accepting payments, providing change, and operating a float
- Assist with stocking concession cart and providing recommendations to management
**Working Conditions**:
- Working outside (including potential extreme heat); must dress appropriately
- Working on and near open water
- Responsible for understanding and complying with the rules and regulations of Lake Chaparral
- Responsible for following proper safety procedures
**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 weeks
**Salary**: $15.00 per hour

- 10 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Calgary, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Standard First Aid Level C CPR & AED (required)
