**JOB DESCRIPTION: GOLF COURSE MAINTENANCE WORKER**

Position: Golf Course Maintenance Worker

Reports to: Golf Course Superintendent

Full Time/Part-Time: Part-Time Seasonal

Employment Dates: Varies
- April through November

**Key Accountabilities**:
The Golf Course Maintenance Worker is responsible for supporting the Golf Course Superintendent in all

motivated to learn new skills and will take pride in their contribution to the high quality of the Golf

Course grounds. The Golf Course Maintenance Worker shall provide a welcoming experience for all

members, guests, and associates.

**Essential Requirements
- (include but are not limited to)**:

- Maintain and cut grass on tee-boxes, fairways, roughs, fringes, and greens.
- Maintain bunkers.
- Assist with sodding and trimming.
- Use equipment such as riding greens mowers, tee mowers, fairway mowers, rough

mowers, rollers, carts, push mowers and A variety of powered and non-powered

hand tools.
- Observe all safety practices and protocols and adhere to all policies
- Able to work weekends and early morning shifts.

**Qualifications, Education and Experience**:

- Ability to understand and receive direction in French and/or English.
- Previous Golf Course maintenance experience is an asset.

**Work Environment and Physical Demands**:

- Requires walking and standing for long periods of time. The duration of time will vary

dependent on the specific task being accomplished.
- Must be able to exert and lift more than 50 lbs frequently and up to 25 lbs regularly.
- Must be able to work in varying temperatures and inclement weather.

**Responsabilités primaires**:
**Tâches essentielles (mais non pas limités à)**:

- tondre et entretenir les tertres de départ, les allées d’herbe courte et d’herbe longue, les verts et les bordures des verts.
- entretenir les fosses de sable.
- opérer l’équipement mécanique tel les tondeuses (verts, allées d’herbe courte et d’herbe longue), les rouleaux à verts, voiturettes de service, ainsi que plusieurs pièces d’équipements manuels et motorisés.
- effectuer toutes les tâches demandées selon les pratiques et règles de sécurité propre aux politiques du CGR.
- effectuer ses fonctions durant des périodes de travail telles les fins de semaines et/ou tôt le matin.

**Compétences, éducation et expérience**:

- habilité à comprendre et à recevoir des directives en français et/ou en anglais.
- expérience d’entretien de parcours de golf est un atout.

**Environnement de travail et exigence physique**:

- doit être en mesure de se tenir debout et de marcher durant de longues périodes de temps. La durée peut varier selon les taches désignées.
- doit être en mesure de pouvoir lever fréquemment des poids de plus de 50 lbs (23 kgs) et des poids de 25 lbs (11 kgs) régulièrement.
- doit pouvoir effectuer ses fonctions durant des températures variantes et rigoureuses.

**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 8 months

**Salary**: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
