**Truss / Floor Estimator**

Truss Fab Inc. is looking for full-time Estimators with a preferred background in estimating Residential / & Commercial construction.

The Estimator will report directly to the Manager. This position is office based, Monday to Friday with some overtime as required.

**Rate of Pay**: $45,000 - $75,000 CAD per year (Dependent on Experience)

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Analyze proposals, drawings, specifications, and related documents for each project for accuracy.
- Read construction drawings and other relevant documents to prepare estimates.
- Develop and maintain relationships with company vendors and contractors.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Requirements & Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education and or a technical training course in Engineering, Architecture or Drafting
- Knowledge of building codes, wood frame construction practices, construction methods and design principles.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, and Excel), and drafting and industry design software (Alpine / Mitek, AutoCAD / Revit);
- Ability to work independently, adapt. Actively listen and meet deadlines;
- Strong interpersonal skills, logical and efficient, with attention to detail;
- Service oriented; build relationships with customers, and internal and external parties demonstrating tact and diplomacy.
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle, as this is a non-bus route.
