**Position Summary**:
The Quality Engineer is responsible for Quality Inspection activities associated with the manufacturing of aerospace precision sheet metal, machining details, assemblies and special processes.

**Primary Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Perform inspection of precision parts and assemblies to customer drawings and specifications (using tools such as calipers, height gauges, plug gauges, CMM’s, micrometers)
- Generate First Article Inspection Reports per AS9102
- Generate Customer Required documents such as C of C’s for product
- Data collection and generation of non-conformance reports
- Document/discuss unacceptable or inferior quality materials with internal and external parties and take corrective action
- Internal auditing of control plans and process conformance
- Participate in Kaizen events & 6S initiatives
- All other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree or diploma in Engineering or relevant experience
- 2+ years comprehensive inspection experience, within the aerospace industry considered an asset
- NADCAP experience;
- AS9100/ISO 9001 auditing and documentation experience

**Skills & Competencies**:

- Ability to read aerospace drawings and specifications
- Adequate working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Able to take on new assignments and prioritize as required
- Able to communicate professionally with customers and suppliers
- Well versed in Geometric Tolerance
- Knowledgeable in the control and documentation of Special Processes
