Closures Technical Centre, a division of Magna International Inc., is focused on the design, development and testing of Mechatronics products for the automotive industry.

**Role Summary**:
Accountable for monitoring warranty trends and claims for earliest warranty issue detection and internal escalation. Assist in the development of company processes and strategies to minimize issue exposure to the OEM and cost exposure to Magna Closures. To support economic growth potential by providing benchmarking + Sales support along with keeping positive working relationships with the customers based on trust and integrity.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Monitors OEM warranty systems and retrieves warranty information relevant to the commodities produced and shipped under Magna Closures (MC) responsibility and prepares analysis reports and provide guidance to Junior Warranty Analyst
- Track warranty performance to established targets.
- Analyze, document and elevate within the warranty department any anomalies in trend or claims data and provide guidance to Analysts C and B.
- Prepares warranty reports for internal reviews (QOS and Program Reviews) as well as customer reviews and provide guidance to Junior Warranty Analyst
- Prepare launch reports on a weekly basis when new content is released.
- Publish all reports on the MC Intranet.
- Retrieve appropriate data from OEM databases prior to parts reviews with the customer and provide guidance to Junior Warranty Analyst
- Report / submit returned parts test results to OEM Returned Parts databases and provide guidance to Junior Warranty Analyst
- Provide Data for Projection / Reliability requests based on warranty performance or MC financial culpability.
- Monitor MC financial culpability to OEM cost recovery systems.
**Key Responsibilities Continued**:
- Benchmark competitor warranty performance against MC content where OEM databases allow.
- Perform dealership calls when required to better understand customer concern / failure mode and provide guidance to Junior Warranty Analyst
- Coordinate ordering returned parts from OEM’s.
- Review Warranty Alerts with Warranty Analysts prior to being release to the organization for data clarity and issue identification.
- Proposes and deploys changes to procedures and processes as necessary to make the flow of data as efficient as possible.
- Leads / support projects relating to the development / enhancement of internal warranty systems and procedures.
- Direct Warranty Data Requests to appropriate Warranty Analyst for best allocation of resources.
- Mentor / Train Junior Warranty Analyst on data analysis best practices and OEM systems.
- Participate in issue resolution exercises with the CFT by identifying contrasts through warranty data analysis.
- Communicate warranty data effectively both internally (Magna Closures / CoE) and externally (OEM’s) to all levels of corporate structures through Program Review, CFT meetings, ECB’s, QRD’s, FQI’s
**Key Qualifications/Requirements**:
- Completion of diploma in a technical field
- Minimum 3 years work related experience
- Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills
