Experienced Bricklayer/mason

Brick Layer:
Refined modern stone and brick masonry skills, a good understanding of heritage masonry skills/techniques and the ability to consistently produce above average workmanship. Ability and willingness to support/teach/work with apprentices and general laborers. Commitment to creating and maintaining a safe work environment, reinforcing a "safety first" attitude with the team. Strong organization and communication skills. Ability to interact well with subcontractors and clients

Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles or other masonry units
Construct and install prefabricated masonry units
Build patios, garden walls and other decorative installations
Read sketches and blueprints to calculate materials required
Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools
We are based out of coquitlam but work in the lower mainland. We have several ongoing projects.

**Requirements**:
Must have own transportation. Mason helpers are expected to report directly to the job site each day, with sites in the lower mainland
Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more and stand for long periods of time.
Must be able reliable, punctual and abide by site regulations
We are family-owned business that specialized in commercial and repairs as well as outdoor living spaces. High-quality work is required and on-the-job training is provided.
if any experience or ticket for a zoom boom is an asset but not required.

**Salary**: $25.00-$45.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

- Coquitlam, BC V3E 1P2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- masonry: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
