**Job Description**:
What you'll be doing
As a member of CIBC’s team, the Consultant, Business Analytics will be responsible for providing analytical support to the Internal Communications department, as part of the Employee Communications Platforms team. This role reports to the Sr. Manager, Workplace, and will work regularly with both that leader and the Intranet Publishing Lead. The Consultant will primarily support the data and analytics function for CIBC’s primary internal communications platform for news, Workplace from Meta. The role will work to improve how we capture and report on data, trends, and insights. One of the primary areas of investigation and goals for this role will be to use powerful data and analysis tools - ranging from Power BI and Power Automate, to Microsoft Excel - to create dynamic dashboards and other types of reporting. We’re looking for someone who can help inform the strategy to bring analytics together from multiple platforms, including Workplace, but also: Adobe Analytics, Microsoft 365 (including SharePoint Modern), and possibly more as our platform strategy evolves. The role applies comprehensive knowledge and skills with data, analysis, and automation to support the design, implementation, and evaluation of new strategies and performance monitoring. The Consultant exercises independent judgement within defined procedures, documenting accurate business requirements that clearly represent the needs of the Internal Communications team.

How you'll succeed
- Data Analysis SME - Be the expert for analytics on Workplace for the organization, in partnership with the Sr. Manager. Analyze the data in order to identify trends and insights focused on increased engagement and adoption, define specific, measurable, achievable OKRs, and present findings to stakeholders and senior leaders.
- Business Effectiveness - Identify and recommend changes that enhance operations whether through technology or other processes to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the department.
- Strategic Thinking Approach - Drive, manage and execute data and reporting projects and initiatives in alignment with CIBC Strategy while supporting the business goals, objectives and key performance indicators. Ability to think strategically about how to mobilize and engage teams across the enterprise to deliver strategic change.
- Relationship Management - Manage the relationship between the Data and Reporting and various partners throughout the bank with a high focus on client experience and partnering for shared success. Build internal and external relationships as required to help ensure we are providing the right level of service to our leadership team and business partners.
- Communication - Excellent verbal and writing skills to effectively articulate ideas and opinions that involve analysis, processes, and technology solutions to others with different disciplinary backgrounds. Ability to produce a variety of business documents that demonstrate command of language, clarity of thought and orderliness of presentation.
- Reporting - Track progress and conduct analysis of data and reports. Support in the tracking and communication of performance metrics.
