**Manager, Facilities (Rainbow Lake)**

**THE OPPORTUNITY**

Campfire Circle is currently seeking a Manager, Facilities to lead the Facilities team at our Rainbow Lake overnight camp near Waterford, Ontario. As a member of the Campfire Circle Sites & Facilities Department, the Manager, Facilities ensures the year-round camp facility is in quality condition, safely operated and maintained as such, in order to maximize their effective use by campers, renters, staff, and volunteers involved in the organization’s programs and services.

The key accountabilities in this role include, but are not limited to:
**Maintenance**:

- Oversee site upkeep using preventative and predictive maintenance tools and tracking systems.
- Manage and ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
- Conduct and document pre
- and post-event site inspections, following up as needed.
- Perform hands-on maintenance and housekeeping duties as required.

**People Management**:

- Guide and support the team in achieving department goals with clear project guidelines and regular check-ins.
- Facilitate smooth weekly or bi-weekly team meetings and assist in recruiting seasonal and full-time staff.
- Coach and mentor team members, providing constructive feedback, celebrating achievements, and offering growth opportunities.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe work culture where everyone feels valued and connected.

**Vendor Management**:

- Vet new vendors and manage procurement of equipment and supplies.
- Coordinate and oversee vendor visits and onsite work.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers.
- Organize and manage documentation for vendor relationships, including estimates, purchase orders, work orders, WorxHub entries, and records of goods received

**Relationship Management (Rentals, Events, Programs)**:

- Assist management in building and maintaining positive relationships with renters and space users; serve as the onsite point of contact as needed.
- Support site users with logistics, planning, documentation, and event execution.
- Coordinate with the Camp Director to ensure smooth collaboration between sites and Programs staff during camp sessions.

**Documentation, Planning & Reporting**:

- Support management with the development, implementation, and tracking of the annual Sites Business Plan, including site and staffing plans and capital budgets.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards (ESA, Fire, Health, OCA).
- Manage and organize financial records, equipment inventories, manuals, and warranties in systems such as WorxHub and Blackbaud.

**ABOUT YOU**

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Required Criteria: _

a) Post-secondary school education required, or equivalent experience.

b) 5 - 7 years of experience required in facility maintenance related roles.

c) Minimum 3 years of people management/supervisory experience.

d) A strong understanding of the Ontario Building Code.

e) Familiar with Ontario laws and regulations applicable to outdoor recreation facilities e.g. AODA, OHSA, HPPA, FPPA, MOEE.

f) Clear police reference check and vulnerable sector screening

g) Current G2 or G class driver’s license and the ability to be covered by camp’s insurance policy.
- Advantageous Criteria: _

a) Operations/Facilities Management experience in a camp or resort environment.

b) Familiarity with industry standards applicable to the site; e.g. Ontario Camps Association, Canadian Association of Pediatric Oncology Camps.

c) OHSA JHSC Certified Member qualification.

d) Current WHMIS, Standard First Aid, working at heights, and basic health & safety certifications (or readiness to obtain and maintain those certifications).

e) Formal trade qualification in a related area.

f) Ontario Pleasure Craft Operator Card.

g) Standard First Aid with CPR C certification.

h) Pool Operator Level 1 or Level 2

i) Working at Heights Certification

j) Experience operating a tractor
