**Position Description**:
We are a developmental biology lab that focuses on mechanisms of morphogenesis in the early organ-stage mouse embryo. Our methods combine developmental biology with biophysics. We employ mouse genetics, live imaging, genomics, chromatin conformation capture, force sensor measurements using FLIM, and custom micro-scale devices to measure tissue properties in vivo. Our team members have backgrounds predominantly in biology, but engineering and physics are also represented. We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic person with a strong work ethic to join our research team.

**Here's What You'll Get To Do**
- Work on one main project or several smaller projects designed by the investigator.
- Manage the lab and liaise with an animal husbandry technician.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to postdoctoral fellows and students.
- Learn custom methods and assist in devising or improving new ones.
- Communicate and maintain records of experimental data.
- Responsible for accuracy of techniques.
- Frequent animal (mouse embryo) work.

**Here's What You'll Need**
- PhD or equivalent degree.
- Knowledge of genetics, developmental and cell biology is required.
- Knowledge of biophysics, computer science or engineering is beneficial.
- Strong work ethic.
- Creativity and open mindedness.
- Evidence of core competency in written and verbal communication.
- Evidence of organisation and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

**Employment Type**

Temporary, Full-Time (1 year)
