**Summary**:
The Adaptive Sailing program in Kelowna is offering summer employment for sailing instructors to work with some very special people in beautiful Kelowna, BC. You will spend most of your time SAILING with people on Okanagan Lake. We work with people with various challenges including visual impairments and other physical challenges as well as some cognitive challenges. We offer our sailors instruction, companionship, and meaningful opportunities. Our program utilizes a fleet of Martin 16 sailboats as well a motorized coach boat.

**Responsibilities**:

- Sail with and instruct sailors with challenges
- Rig and de-rig the boats
- Help maintain the fleet in good working order
- Assist with scheduling sails
- Assist with additional activities, fun sails and integrated sailing.
- Drive power coach boat for safety and instructional purposes

**Pre-Requisites**:

- Required
- Standard First Aid with CPR
- Pleasure Craft Operator Card (can be attained through us)
- Criminal Record Check
- Previous work or volunteer experience with vulnerable population
- Assets
- Sail Canada (or CYA) instructor/coach certification
- VHF Radio license
- Sail Racing experience
- Powerboat experience

**Salary**:Competitive salaries, performance bonuses and paid orientation sessions - $19.00
