**Responsibilities (Job Description)**:

- Work closely with other departments to meet students’ academic goals；
- Provide academic instructions for AP Micro&Macro Economics courses of the BC curriculum for small size class, including one-on-one classes；
- Plan lessons accordingly after assessing students' academic skills；
- Prepare standard quizzes/tests/assignments/exercises as needed；
- Review students academic progress and fill in the grade book to evaluate students’ performance regularly；
- Achieve the academic goal.

**Key Competencies/skills**:

- Excellent communication skills；
- Curriculum Design: Develop and design a comprehensive AP Economics curriculum that aligns with AP guidelines and fosters a deep understanding of concepts among students.
- Proficient in using online teaching platforms such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams to deliver lectures.

**Qualifications/Requirements**:

- Minimum 2 years LOCAL teaching Econ experience in teaching teens；
- BC teacher’s certificate is an asset；
- Able to commute to work；
- Related course teaching experience in the BC curriculum in AP Economics, and actively teaching at BC schools now is an asset
- Bachelor of Education is highly preferred；
- Classroom Management: Demonstrated ability to create a positive and well-managed classroom environment that encourages active student engagement and fosters a passion for Economics；
- Experience with Students: Enjoyment in working with students of all ages, from junior high to high school, and possess the skills to tailor teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs of students.

**Job Type**: Contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 per week

Work Location: In person
