**Job Title: Forklift Driver**
**Location: 90048 Range Road 211, Lethbridge, AB T1J 5N9**
**Duration: 03+ Months**
**Schedule: 8 hour shifts Sunday - Thursday 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM**
Optional overtime and occasional Saturdays required during peak seasons.
**Pay Rate: $23.00/hr**
Client is seeking a reliable **Forklift Driver** to join our team. This role will focus on safely operating forklifts to move materials and inventory within the warehouse while maintaining accurate records. As a Forklift Driver, you will contribute to ensuring a smooth and efficient operation in a fast-paced environment that supports our mission to help farmers feed the world while protecting the planet.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
- **Forklift Operation**: Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and organize products within the warehouse while ensuring an accident-free record.
- **Forklift Maintenance**: Regularly clean and maintain forklifts, performing inspections as needed to ensure safe operation.
- **Inventory Tracking**: Use Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory location and ensure accurate data entry.
- **Material Handling**: Assist with unloading, loading, and organizing transport vehicles during seed delivery and return seasons.
- **Warehouse Cleanliness**: Keep the warehouse clean and organized, ensuring a safe working environment.
- **Manual Tasks**: Perform additional tasks as directed by the warehouse supervisor or team lead (e.g., sampling, inventory, cleaning).
- **Safety Compliance**: Follow safety procedures, and initiate emergency protocols when necessary.
**Preferred Experience**:
- 1 year of forklift experience
- 1 year of warehouse experience
- Forklift certification is preferred
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- **Accuracy**: Ability to count and track inventory accurately.
- **Attention to Detail**: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining detail-oriented.
- **Safety Awareness**: Maintain alertness and operate the forklift in a safe manner at all times.
- **Teamwork and Communication**: Able to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication skills.
- **Physical Requirements**: Ability to work in confined spaces and safely maneuver forklifts in tight areas.
**Basic Job Requirements**:
- High School Diploma (required for permanent role consideration)
- Ability to pass a background check and other pre-employment screenings
- Reliable transportation to the work site
- Enthusiastic attitude, honesty, and respect for others
**Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)**:
Corteva provides all necessary PPE except steel-toed boots. The standard PPE includes:
- Leather gloves
- CSA-approved safety glasses
- Hearing protection
- Hi-viz safety vest
- Long sleeves (for handling treated seed)
- CSA-approved steel-toe boots
- Hard hat (hi-viz with Class E rating)
Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
