We are seeking a Procurement Student, for our BC Region district, within our Canadian Buildings Division that are available for 4-12 months starting in January 2025. This position will be under the direct supervisor of the Senior Buyer.
Here's how a Procurement Student for our BC Region office contributes to our team:
**Responsibilities**:
- Sourcing materials, services and equipment as directed and in accordance with policy and procedures.
- Identifying and selecting vendors to purchase requisitioned commodities, meeting criteria such as price, quantity, quality, safety, and delivery date.
- Expediting orders.
- Shipping and receiving.
- Stacking, counting and placing goods in accordance with the warehouse organizational plan.
- Maintaining inventory levels and records.
- Preparing procurement reports and documentation as required.
- Providing equipment administration support.
- Practicing PCL safety practices.
- Assisting in all aspects, as is reasonably available, of procurement & equipment management activities.
**Qualifications**:
- Currently enrolled in a Supply Chain Management specialization in a post-secondary institution.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Maintains a positive working relationship with clients.
- Ability to perform multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Pay Range: $19.35 - $24
PCL Student wages are determined individually for each student based on the number of completed school terms, relevant work terms, kind of role and work location.
