**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Executive Director, the position is responsible for all aspects of planning, project and event coordination, research, writing, analysis, and implementation of the Ninth Gathering of Healing Our Spirit Worldwide conference (HOSW). This includes the development of reports, presentations, templates, and implementation plans. This position works collaboratively with the OCEO, established Governance Structure, and Partners.).

**Responsibilities**:

- Provides planning advice and support to the implementation of the HOSW. Ensures that all conference programs, campaign, and logistics are consistent with the beliefs, values, principles, and protocols that are shared between FNHA and the IICHOSW, as well as First Nations interests, approaches, and philosophies.
- Provides input and expertise in the implementation of planning tools, templates, guides, and communication material.
- Provides coordination, planning and support for the business, financial, and operational plan. This includes providing support to volunteer recruitment, planning celebration activities, and Working and Task Groups.
- Manages event logistics in collaboration with the Operations Committee, including communications, minute taking, project tracking, onsite support, and budgets.
- Develops presentations, process maps and other visual tools to support the Operations and Working Groups.
- Represents FNHA in meetings and engagement events as required.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**
- University Degree in a related field, plus 2 years of recent, relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

**Experience**
- Recent, relevant, and significant experience in planning and/or public administration.
- Experience in working with First Nations.
- Significant planning experience would be an asset.

**Knowledge, Skills & Attributes**:
**Knowledge**
- Knowledge of colonization and the unique history of Indigenous peoples in Canada.
- Understanding of the Healing Our Spirit Worldwide movement.

**Competencies**
- Awareness - Thorough knowledge of the current First Nations health governance landscape in BC and the critical issues and opportunities for BC First Nations health.
- Analysis - Synthesizes, assesses, and analyzes large volumes of information and applies strategic and tactical thinking, including the ability to understand multiple perspectives, to develop proposed frameworks, approaches, recommendations with mínimal supervision.
- Teamwork/collaboration - Strong interpersonal skills. Interacts with people effectively. Able and willing to share and receive information. Collaborates within the group and across groups. Supports group decisions. Puts group goals ahead of own goals.
