Cash Reconciliation Analyst

GFL Environmental is looking to hire a Cash Reconciliation Analyst based out of our Vaughan office. The Cash Reconciliation Analyst is responsible for analyzing and reconciling bank account transactions, as well as overseeing and verifying that all charges in debit, credit, cash or other payment methods are reconciled daily. Additional duties include reconciling cash receipts to ensure that the recorded balance in the subledgers and the recorded balance of the bank statement match up.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Analyze and reconcile bank account transactions on a timely and accurate basis
Investigate and resolve reconciliation issues within the assigned accounts
Reconcile cash receipts to ensure that the recorded balance in the subledgers and the recorded balance of the bank statement match up
Other ad-hoc duties which may include reporting & analytics as needed

**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies**:
College Diploma or University Degree in Accounting or 1-3 years of business/finance experience, preferably with reconciliations experience
Able to work with complex data sets, understand systems and data processing
Sharp problem-solving skills and eager to solve issues
Able to multi-task and manage work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Have attention to detail in a high-pressure environment
Flexible to work additional hours as dictated by business needs
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization in a professional and competent manner
Team player with a positive attitude who takes initiative and has a strong work ethic
High sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize competing requests to meet deadlines and achieve goals
Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills to take issues across the finishing line and think outside the box
Computer literacy, including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Microsoft Dynamics GP system experience are considered an asset
