This posting is for one unionized contractual appointment. A Teaching Assistant is a Graduate Student employed to assist the Course Supervisor as a Teaching Assistant in a classroom environment. Teaching Assistant Positions are governed by the Collective Agreement between McGill University and the Association of Graduate Students Employed at McGill (AGSEM)

Position Summary:
- This requisition is for one position, in the Department of Integrated Studies in Education._- Course dates are _August 28, 2024 _to _December 4, 2024_._- Effective dates of appointment are _August 26, 2024 _to _December 20, 2024_._
Posting Period (15 working days): June 7, 2024 to June 28, 2024 (inclusive)

Responsibilities may include:
- Marking and Grading- Preparing Course Materials- Assisting Students' learning- Leading discussions.- Project Supervision- Provide feedback to students on presentations and/or course work.- Attending classes_ _(Fridays: _08:35 am-11:25 am & _02:35 pm-05:25 pm_)_
Qualifications:
- A PhD or Master’s degree related to the course/faculty._- Experience having either taken EDEC 262, served as a TA or grader for the course in the past, or have some professional experience in the field of critical media literacy, technology in education, or both._- Prepared to instruct with supervision and assistance_- DISE and McGill students will have priority._
- As per collective agreement 2.11 A teaching assistant is a Graduate student at the Master’s or Doctoral level employed to assist a Course Supervisor as a Teaching Assistant or Demonstrator._
