Yard Worker

**Overview of Position**:
Cobra Enterprises is looking for an enthusiastic individual to fill the role of Yard Personnel.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Handle loading & unloading of products as directed
- Operate forklift, Skid steer, and telehandler.
- Support other functions departments where required.
- Always follow safe work practices.
- Load, unload, pack, and unpack materials.
- Label and sort incoming and outgoing shipments. Relocate items within the warehouse or yard.
- Unload materials and merchandise from incoming arrivals and stack them to assigned places.
- Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
- Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
- Hauling, loading, and unloading freight vehicles using related equipment.
- Picking and packaging orders.
- Working in a fast-paced environment under pressure.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s licence;
- Ability to organize and prioritize workloads;
- Forklift, Telehandler, and Skid steer experience
- Ability to do physical labour including lifting, carrying (over 50 Lbs.), bending repeatedly daily.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to perform at a high level in a fast paced, demanding working environment.
- Reliable vehicle is required, as this is a non-bus route.
- Experience and knowledge in this or a related industry is an asset.
- Experience and knowledge of construction materials.

**Work conditions**:
Ability to lift 80+ lbs, required safety equipment, hazards associated with the trade, work both indoors and outdoors, construction sites, noise, irregular hours.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- warehouse: 1 year (preferred)
- Construction Yard: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Forklift Licence (required)
