The Saskatoon Region Early Childhood Intervention Program has great opportunities for individuals passionate to make a difference in the lives of children and their families and believe in the impact of early childhood intervention.

We have permanent and term full-time and part-time Early Childhood Consultant positions that must be filled immediately.

As an ECIP Consultant, you will meet with families in the home 1 to 2x a month for about an hour and work on one or more of the six developmental areas with the child. This includes floor play with the child and engaging the parents. An assessment tool assists the consultant in developing an individualized plan with the caregivers. A sample of responsibilities include:

- Modeling learning activities for the parents and reinforcing parental and family interactions with the child.
- Assisting the family in planning learning activities in the home to encourage growth and enhance developmental outcomes for the child.
- Creating activity packages and resources to support and maximize learning opportunities.
- Assisting families in providing a stimulating learning environment for the child and assisting in their understanding of child development.
- Providing understanding and moral support to the family.

The Early Childhood Consultant must exhibit:

- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience working with a variety of computer programs.
- Flexibility and organizational skills, and
- A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle. The employer covers mileage.

Reports to the Executive Director.

**Minimum qualification**:
A recognized professional degree or two-year diploma related to early childhood development and education.

Full time position, 37.5 hours per week

**Salary**: 39,000.00 annually
