Job Overview:
The Landing is Thunder Bay's newest multipurpose event space. This medium sized event business is launching this fall (2024). The historic, redeveloped space is located inside the R.S. Piper building in Westfort Village. We’re looking for dedicated team members to aid in serving, bartending, and event setup. If you’re looking for an entry level serving position, this is a great place to start

**Responsibilities**:

- Set-up/take-down of events including tables, chairs, flatware, and buffets
- Serving food to tables and bussing
- Serving alcoholic beverages behind the bar and to tables
- Polishing plates and cutlery
- General maintenance, such as cleaning and restocking
- Providing guests with exemplary customer service
- Assisting other departments when necessary

Qualifications:

- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
- Smart Serve certified
- Experience in customer service
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Previous bartending/serving experience is an asset
- Experience in events and catering is an asset
- Applicants must be able to carry over 50 pounds and be on their feet for long periods of time

Job type: Permanent part-time

Schedule:

- Events to be scheduled at all times during the week
- Must be available evenings and weekends

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)

**Job Type**: Part-time

Expected hours: 10 - 30 per week
