**This position reports to**:
Production Engineering Manager

**Your role and responsibilities**:
We are looking for a Manufacturing Project Engineer to lead modernization and automation projects for equipment. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing improvement, replacement, and/or automation projects for production equipment. In your various assignments, you will be involved in both the technical execution and the justification of the projects. - Supervise and coordinate equipment replacement and automation projects, ensuring cost, quality, and deadline objectives are met. - Estimate costs and conduct analyses to justify various projects. - Provide technical support for installations and participate in system commissioning. - Coordinate the implementation and startup of projects with production and maintenance teams. - Contribute to defining the strategic vision for planning automation and equipment replacement projects. - Identify automation opportunities and conduct technology watch to propose the most suitable technologies for the projects to be carried out.

**Qualifications for the role**:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automated Production Management (GPA).
- 5 to 10 years of experience in managing manufacturing projects.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative to advance projects, and manage priorities.
- General knowledge of automated systems, robotics, PLC programming, machine safety, and other factory technologies.
- Knowledge of steel stamping and machining processes (an asset).
- Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English and French. French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.
