**What's the role?**

Accountable for market development/influence, coordination and implementing of local market strategies, thereby increasing sales and market penetration of intumescent coatings specific to the protection of structural steel. This position drives the sales of specified products to current buying and non-buying potential customers. The position will also support the specification of Hilti intumescent coatings with the architects in their market

**What does the role involve?**
- Focus on business development of Hilti's intumescent coating product line in a defined geographic area among current and prospective customers relevant to the steel protection and fire protection industries.
- Identify and implement account acquisition strategies for key competitively owned accounts.
- Provide technical support to Hilti's sales force, product specialists, and customers consistent with market strategy.
- Conduct professional educational seminars, presentations, and installer training to owners, architects, general contractors, installers, and building / fire officials.
- Build competency of local interior finishing sales team, sales management, local field engineers, and product specialists through classroom and hands-on training.
- Develop regional strategy centered around key project and customer acquisition.
- Gather, analyze and report on market information regarding trends, competitive strategies/actions, innovations and other business conditions, which would impact Hilti in the intumescent steel coatings market.
- Support key jobsites with installation reviews, installer trainings, and participation in pre-construction meetings.
- Work closely with Hilti North America marketing team and other teams to provide feedback on specifications of next generation intumescent coating products.
- Other duties as assigned.

This job is #LI-Hybrid, meaning it is field-based and requires daily customer in-person interaction with your home serving as your office location

**What you need is**:

- Bachelor's degree in Professional Sales, Business, Marketing, Construction Technology or Engineering preferred
- Knowledge of construction methods and practices specific to paint, fire proofing, coatings or similar required.
- 2 years minimum experience in technical product sales. Paint, fire proofing, or intumescent coatings experience preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in French preferred but not required
- Vehicle/ Driver's License Requirements:

- A valid G license with clean driving abstract: Maximum of 4 demerit points for the previous 3 years, no major violations in the last 12 months and no more than 2 violations for the previous 3 year period.

Working Conditions:

- Walking construction projects according to the jobsite safety regulations.
- Climbing ladders and scaffolding in order to perform effective jobsite demonstrations.
- Occasionally lifting up to 65 pounds of Hilti product to store / transport.
- Job will require operation of a paint sprayer.
