You have knowledge of performance or teaching the genres of tap, hip hop, jazz, ballet, acro or preschool dance (or any combination of the 6).

**Your Role**
- Demonstrate dance techniques and safe dance teaching methods.Plan, attend and teach all scheduled classes and rehearsals utilizing Tarantism Dance Company’s curriculum and the ADAPT syllabus in addition to your own ideas.
- Foster and promote an inclusive learning environment.
- Follow Tarantism Dance Company’s systems and procedures.
- Share your love of dance.
- Collaborate, communicate and promote a positive working relationship with students, parents and other staff members.
- Choreograph and teach a minimum of one dance routine per assigned class, to be performed throughout the year.
- Prepare students for all performances throughout the year.
- Prepare eligible students for ADAPT syllabus exams.
- Assist with production operations and planning for performances, programs, events and sessions as needed.
- Assist with administrative duties related to the operation and growth of Tarantism Dance Company as needed.

**Must Haves**
- Previous dance experience is a must. Education/experience in teaching dance and the ADAPT syllabus would be an asset.
- Ability to work on multiple projects & tasks at one time.
- Ability to be professional while also friendly, upbeat and welcoming.

- First Aid Certification
- Successful applicants who are 13, 14 or 15 years of age must complete the Young Worker Readiness Certificate. A copy of the certificate must be signed by a parent/guardian and given to the employer before work can begin.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $16.50-$44.15 per hour
