We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Cabinet Maker to join our workshop team. As a Cabinet Maker at Teak International, you will be responsible for creating and assembling custom cabinets, furniture, and other wood products according to our clients' specifications. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, craftsmanship, and a passion for working with wood.
**Responsibilities**:
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and design plans to understand the project requirements.
- Select and procure appropriate materials, such as wood, hardware, and other components, to ensure high-quality end products.
- Operate a variety of woodworking machinery and hand tools, including saws, routers, sanders, and drills, to cut, shape, and finish wood pieces.
- Assemble cabinets and furniture using various joinery techniques, such as dovetail joints, mortise and tenon, and biscuit joinery.
- Collaborate with the design team and other craftsmen to ensure the timely completion of projects and maintain a smooth workflow.
- Inspect and test finished products for quality and functionality, making any necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized workshop environment.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a Cabinet Maker or similar role in the woodworking industry.
- In-depth knowledge of woodworking techniques, joinery, and craftsmanship principles.
- Proficiency in operating woodworking machinery and hand tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements and cuts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues during the production process.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to handle long hours of standing, lifting, and working with tools and materials.
- A keen eye for design aesthetics and the ability to bring creative ideas to life.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Formal education or apprenticeship in woodworking or cabinetry.
- Previous experience with custom cabinet-making projects.
- Knowledge of CAD software for designing custom cabinets and furniture.

Pay: $16.83-$30.00 per hour
