In this role, you will report to the Base Manager and will support the assembly, testing and inspection of our progressing cavity pumps (PC pumps) and other associated products. To guarantee success, you will need to possess a motivated work aptitude, organizational skills, attention to detail and a safety-minded attitude.
**About the Position**:
Lifting Solutions Inc. Is proud to be opening a new base location in Athabasca Alberta. As the PCP technician, you will be part of the team responsible for day-to-day activities related to maintaining the pump shop as well as interacting with clients in the North Central Region of Alberta.
Reporting to the Heavy Oil Regional Manager in the company, you will ensure our products are maintained to the Lifting Solutions’ standards and specifications and that customer service expectations are second to none. You will play a major role in the success of our day-to-day operations.
To guarantee success, you must possess a strong safety-minded attitude, pride in one’s work, and an exceptional desire to provide the highest level of quality. This position does require the ability to be on call, working 10 days on and 4 days off.

**Your Opportunity and Responsibilities**
In alignment with the Lifting Solutions culture, mission, vision, and values, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting the Field Base Team in providing valuable knowledge of products and services and sales of those products and services to our clients based in the geographical area.
- Working in a pump shop, testing equipment, documenting pump performance as well as work well in a team environment to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
- Demonstrating a high level of safety leadership on and off the wellsite by actively participating in daily safety meetings, JSA review, hazard assessments, and safety drills
- Maintaining and promoting positive relationships with staff members
- Properly handling PC Pumps, Sucker rod and Endless rod to eliminate risk exposure and ensure product integrity for downhole performance
- Maintaining a highly clean working environment at the base, the client’s wellsite and in company service vehicles.
- Ensuring all required paperwork is completed thoroughly, accurately, and timely as required
- Performing all required preventive maintenance checks, inspections, and tasks
- Actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives to mitigate or eliminate workplace hazards
- Complying with all industry, regulatory, and company standards, regulations and policies
Operations:
- Responsible for steady growth in product and service revenue while taking accountability for service delivery and all expense management. Ensure a profitable business that meets budgets
- Responsible for formal planning and coordination of field service activities while ensuring that all paperwork is fully completed, accurate, legible and submitted in a timely manner by self and employees
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining processes for inventory control, maintenance of equipment and facilities, along with all related administrative functions for the base operations
- Responsible for driving results through deliberate planning and flawless execution
- Ensure compliance with fleet maintenance policy requirements for all fleet assigned to area
- Acts as a facility manager responsible for all facility management functions including security, housecleaning, maintenance, safety compliance and contractor management
Your Skills
- 3- 5 years of Progressing Cavity Pump (PCP) experience
- Strong communication skills and punctual
- Ability to read work instructions, and other related documentation required to perform operations
- Ability to work well individually, and as part of a team, while balancing multiple demands
- Strong attention to detail
