**Remediation Technician**
When disasters happen, Remediation Technicians at On Side are truly on ‘your side’. Asbestos and mould can pop-up anywhere and requires special knowledge and experience to deal with. Remediation Technicians can perform remediation services while protecting the health and safety of workers and clients.
**Remediation Technicians are responsible for**:
- Ensuring a safe work area from asbestos and mould by knowing how to remove and remediate potential dangers from the work site
- Identifying and disposing of asbestos and mould contaminated materials
**What you bring**:
- Perform work following procedure and legislation
- Ensure cleanliness of site, vehicle, and tools
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow scope of work
- Organized with a good sense of time— you’re rarely late and know where all your tools are
- Physically fit— remediation can, at times, include heavy lifting and getting into (and out of) tight places
- Friendly and enjoys working in a team
- A safety-first mindset
- Valid driver’s licence and a clean criminal record (we do check)
- Ability to communicate in English
**Other stuff that will contribute to your success but isn’t required**:
- Asbestos remediation ticket
- A background in demolition
- Construction experience
**Of Note**
Disasters can strike at any time so a rotating schedule of 24/7 after hours on-call work is a requirement.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

**Experience**:
- identifying and disposing of asbestos: 1 year (preferred)
- identifying and disposing mould: 1 year (preferred)
- demolition: 1 year (preferred)
- construction: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Canadian Driver's License (required)
