Estimator/ Project Coordinator

McCann Redi-Mix, located in Dashwood, Ontario is hiring an **ESTIMATOR / PROJECT COORDINATOR **for the concrete construction and sewer and watermain industries.

McCann Redi-Mix has been in business since 1953. We are a family owned and operated company. We take great pride in our redi-mix division, but as our slogan reads, we provide "more" to our customers. We offer a wide variety of other services ranging from concrete construction, aggreagates, excavation, civil work and draglining.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Prepare estimates of materials, labour, equipment & subcontract pricing for projects based on contract bids, quotations, drawings & specifications
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints for Agricultural, Commercial and Residential projects including sewer and watermain projects
- Take total ownership of assigned projects from negotiating contract awards to construction completion
- Procure supplies & materials, schedule labour & equipment as required
- Arrange locates & oversee sub-trades
- Maintain cost monitoring for contracts. Ensure compliance with original estimates for cost/profits
- Create working site packages for field crews
- Attend & participate in site meetings/pre-pour meetings
- Confer with supervisors, co-workers, owners, contractors and design professionals to discuss work procedures & resolve construction issues
- Monthly project invoicing & daily paperwork filing
- Physically working with McCann construction crews as required (infrequent)

**Job Qualifications and Preferred Skills**
- Minimum 1 year experience in estimator/project manager position
- Experience with site works and concrete construction projects a strong asset
- C.E.T. program diploma would be a strong assest (recent graduates will be considered)
- Experience using Plan Swift is an asset
- Ability to muti-task and work under pressure and deadlines
- Valid G License
