**Your responsibilities**:

- Lead, guide and mentor the PM team for successful execution of the projects to continuously drive performance on key Business KPIs. Oversight is at the strategic and operational level, managing assigned project managers and all projects resources and project finances so that each project is progressing on time and within budget. Ensures the local portfolio of projects is managed consistently. (35% focus of the role)
- Lead the execution of small
- to medium-size projects with moderate complexity and ensure that all related activities are performed in accordance with ABB policy, contractual agreements and obligations, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets, as well as schedule commitments. (65% focus of the role)
- Ensures that ABB policies (directives, instructions and guidelines) are followed. Develops, and continuously improves respective processes, based on industry best practices. Ensures that findings from lessons learned from project execution are incorporated in continuous improvement actions and shared throughout the project management team.
- Leads Project Reviews for the portfolio. Oversees project management activities at the portfolio level through project reviews with the management team and Project Managers. Takes an active role in resolving escalated issues.
- Financial performance of assigned projects.
- Works with the proposals team to issue required quotations with alignment towards the Sales strategy and in coordination with the Sales Manager.
- Establishes the project execution approach for the specific account, and oversees the project hand-over, execution planning, and monitoring and control activities for both internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals.
- Provides sub supplier performance feedback regarding quality, price and on time delivery.
- Provides leadership and active involvement in continuous improvement, simplification, and brings product improvement ideas to the Sales & Operations Manager
- Self-Motivated and challenges the team to drive on-time deliveries, innovation, and financial commitments.
- Works with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Suppliers to identify product solutions and improvements.
- Ensures that the project follows execution best practices and ABB policies as defined for the Local Division.
- Effectively monitors and controls project progress and efficient resource utilization.
- Monitors and controls project financials, project invoicing status, cost, expenses, and cash flow.
- Identifies, qualifies, quantifies, and manages project risks and ensures that all opportunities are identified and pursued.
- Captures, analyses, and shares lessons learned throughout the project.
- Drives the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out and acknowledgement by the customer, all in accordance with the contract.
- Ensures that the project consistently applies contract and claims management in accordance with ABB Local Division policies and contractual agreements.
- Acts as the key execution contact for the customer and escalates any issues with urgency to Management, as required and appropriate.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicates with all stakeholders.
- Ensures the project follows and complies with company health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Leads and manages the project team members to achieve project requirements, delivery of contractual deliverables and meeting the committed project result.

**Your background**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical & Automation background is a plus) from an accredited university or Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma with passion for Project Management
- Minimum 4+ years of successful experience in Project Management, involving projects with automation & electrical systems, ideally in Oil & Gas, Power Generation or Water market segments in Canada
- PMI certified - ABB Project Management designation (for internal applicants only)
- Self-motivated and ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Project
- Knowledge of ABB automation & electrical products and instrumentation, e.g. 800xA, PLC, Power Distribution, Cables, VFD drives, MV/LV switchgear, protection relays, motor control centers, transformers, power distribution, flame scanners and boiler combustion gas analyzers.
