**Location**

33 Commerce Valley Dr. East, Markham, Ontario
- This is a hybrid role (remote & in-office) as the hiring team will require the student to come to the Markham office approximately 2-3 days a week. COVID-19 protocols are being strictly followed._

**Program Term**
- This role is a 12-month position
- May 1, 2023 - April 26, 2024

**About the Department**

The Mandate of the Logic Quality Team is as follows:

- Determine Power/Performance/Area targets for logic in new process technology nodes.
- Develop Metrics and Place and Route testcases to measure technology capability.
- Run Place and Route regressions to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
- Design testchips to identify process defects and drive yield improvement at our Foundry partners.
- Continuously improve our existing methodologies.

**Responsibilities**:
**The Role**

In this position you will be an active participant in the Logic Quality improvement initiative which is designed to drive higher frequency, lower power while minimizing area of AMD products. This is achieved by measuring capability in new technologies and ensuring AMD programs can achieve the expected logic quality. The key metrics for logic quality are : performance, area, power and yield.

**What you’ll be doing**

Our Co-op students are treated as regular full time employees and responsibilities in this role encompass all areas of the team mandate listed above.

- Parasitic extraction and Static Timing Analysis

- Working to obtain Electrical or Computer Engineering bachelor’s degree, or equivalent
