**Position Summary**:
Under the general supervision of the Parks and Facilities Manager, Arena Foreman or designate, an Arena
Attendant performs a variety of duties related to the security, care and maintenance of the City Arenas including
service to the public, and facility users.

**Key Duties Performed**:
1. Performs security care and maintenance duties in the arena facilities.

2. Provides service to the public and users of the arenas.

3. Performs other related duties as required.

**Required Knowledge, Abilities & Skills:
1. Must be 18 years or older at time of hiring

2. Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent combination of education or work related experience

3. A Safety Awareness Ticket (Refrigeration) from a recognized organization

4. Occupational First Aid Level 1

5. A valid driver’s license

6. Satisfactory Criminal Record Search through the RCMP

7. Physical agility and ability to complete duties requiring physical effort

8. Ability to maintain harmonious relationships with all members of the public and other staff members.

9. Ability to perform all of the duties outlined in a safe manner following established Facility Procedures,
Occupational, Health & Safety Rules, and Violence in the Workplace policies, and WorkSafe BC
