Toronto, Canada Leaside Dog Walkers Full time

Busy, well-established dog walking service based in the Leaside area is looking for a mature, responsible and outgoing person to join our team as a permanent, part-time dog walker. We only offer private walks and in-home boarding, giving you the opportunity to develop strong bonds with each client dog in your care. _**This position is ideally suited for someone who is finished with the corporate world, or is semi-retired, and looking to spend a few hours outside each day in the company of some wonderful dogs.**_ We provide in-depth training, supervision, and on-going support, in a small team environment, that will ensure your success and happiness in this position. There may be the potential to move into a full time role as the company continues to grow.

**Qualifications**:

- Have an absolute love for dogs
- Be extremely reliable, and willing to work outside in all types of weather. The dogs don’t take days of from walking so we don’t either
- Have owned, or worked with dogs, and be comfortable working with all breeds, sizes, and energy levels.
- Have a client focused attitude, and clean professional appearance.
- Be willing to comply with a clients’ directions regarding the care of their pets.
- Be a good communicator, detail oriented, and with an ability to follow daily schedules with mínimal supervision.
- Have a valid Ontario driver’s licence, have access to a reliable vehicle, have insurance, and provide clean drivers abstract.
- Be bondable and able to provide an up-to-date copy of clean criminal records check.

**Experience**:

- Dog care: 2 years **(required)**:

- Availability to board dogs in your home is a plus. (Asset)

**Location**:

- Live in or near the Leaside area. **(required)**

**Availability**:

- Be willing to make a minimum 1 year commitment **(required)**:

- Be available from Monday-Friday, between 9:30am and 1pm. Part-time workers typically work 2-4 hours per day. _*Ideally you are available to occasionally work longer days to assist when other staff are on sick or away._ **(required)**

**Licences and Certification**
- Have, or complete within 3 months of employment, Pet First Aid certification **(required)**:

- Have a valid G class drivers licence and provide a clean driver's abstract **(required)**:

- Have a reliable vehicle **(required)**

**Job Type**:

- Part-time with possibility to transition to full-time
