**Job Description**:
**Recruitment Assistant, Temporary Full-Time (Approximately 3-6 months)**
**People and Culture Department, Regional Office, Grand Falls-Windsor**

Definition of Work:
Reporting to the Manager of Strategic Recruitment, the Recruitment Assistant will provide recruitment support to all levels of the organization. Duties may include corresponding with applicants, processing requisitions, preparing and posting vacancies, preparing applicant summaries, completing references checks, making employment offers, ensuring submission of hiring documentation, and performing other related duties within the People and Culture Department's Employee Experience team as necessary. Work will be undertaken in a fast-paced environment and attention to detail is an integral part of the workflow. The successful applicant will work as a member of a team that is focused on providing a positive employee experience for employees of Central Health.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Graduation from high school with a diploma recognized by the Newfoundland & Labrador Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.
- Completion of a three-year Business Management Program with a concentration in human resource management and/or completion of other post-secondary courses in the field of human resource management.
- Knowledge of health care collective agreements.
- Proficient in the use of information technology systems including Virtuo HR and Meditech.
- Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality.
- Ability to creatively problem solve and seek opportunities to align processes to create a positive employee experience.
- Consistent demonstration of Central Health's corporate values; Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Quality and Stewardship.
- Demonstrated commitment to person and family centered care.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a changing environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated ability to complete tasks in an accurate and efficient manner.
- A satisfactory record of performance and attendance is required for this position.
- A satisfactory certificate of conduct from the RCMP or local police authority.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience in the human resources field within a health care setting.

**Hours of Work**: 75 hours biweekly (Shift work may be required)
**Salary**: CG-27 ($24.98 - $27.63) non-union, non-management
