The Flag Person directs and controls traffic (motoring and pedestrian) safely in and through the work zone and directs site equipment when working in close proximity of traffic and other hazards and obstructions. The Flag Person communicates and interacts with the public in a courteous and professional manner.

**Duties/Tasks**
- Protect workers by keeping work space free of traffic and warning them of approaching hazards;
- Assist trucks in accessing and exiting work sites and directing them where to dump loads;
- Assist with set up and maintenance of project signage and barricades including daily barricade reports;
- Assist with measuring work areas for quantity calculations;
- Receive, sort and file haul tickets from delivery trucks;
- Track hired equipment work time and issue pay tickets/receipts.

**Knowledge/Skills Required**
- 2 years' of experience in a Flag Person position.
- Must hold an industry standard Flag Training certificate.
- Must be able to take control and give firm clear directions.
- Must be able to work extended hours and irregular days with irregular breaks.
- Must be able to spend extended periods of time standing, walking, and holding items (i.e. stop/slow paddle, walkie-talkie etc.)
- Must be able to work outdoors in all temperatures.
- Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies.
- Must be willing to work overtime as required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
