**Description**

**Your Role at GEI.**

**Essential Responsibilities & Duties**
- Collate information from various sources, including communications with agencies and stakeholders, to establish baseline conditions
- Assist with wildlife surveys, including reptiles, amphibians, bats, birds, terrestrial crayfish, fisheries and Species at Risk (SAR)
- Support vegetation and wetland surveys, including Ecological Land Classification (ELC) mapping, Ontario Wetland Evaluation System surveys, species taxonomy, and rare plant identification
- Data management, processing and interpretation of field results to assess for presence of SAR, significant natural heritage features, and other environmental considerations
- Work with other technical staff and project managers to provide input to natural heritage assessments, inventories and impact assessments, technical correspondence, Endangered Species Act permitting and registrations, and project reports

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Degree in biology, ecology, environmental science or related discipline;
- Able to work in a team and independently;
- Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and time management skills;
- Proficient with MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint);
- Resident of the Greater Golden Horseshoe Area; and
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle access is required.
