We are currently looking for a **full time, permanent Optometric Assistant** to join our busy and established practice. **Job duties** include the following:

- Greeting patients in a friendly and professional manner while building rapport.
- Assisting patients with frame selection, styling, fitting, lens selection and measurements.
- Entering lab orders and insurance forms and invoices.
- Verifying prescription eyeglasses and notifying patients when eyewear is ready.
- Dispensing, adjusting and repairing eyewear.
- Scheduling follow up appointments as needed.
- Instructing patients on proper eyewear use and care of new eyeglass lenses.
- Troubleshooting and problem solving eyewear concerns and issues to ensure patient satisfaction.
- Merchandising dispensary and maintaining cleaning procedures and standards.
- Monitoring job status from optical labs and ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Assisting the Leadership Team in the development of objectives and plans for ongoing dispensary activities and goals.
- Updating electronic medical records and patient files and completing other clerical tasks.
