The El [P] is a small, family run business in downtown Peterborough. We’re looking for creative kitchen staff who can work in a busy, fast-paced environment. - Must possess 1+ years experience in a busy kitchen
- Control and direct the food preparation process
- Collaborate with kitchen staff at all levels
- Determine food inventory needs, stocking and ordering
- Ultimately responsible for ensuring the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines
- Responsible for health and safety and food hygiene practices
- Possess Food Handler Certificate

**Skills**:

- Excellent knowledge of both FOH and BOH workflow
- Ability to produce high-quality food in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills
- Team oriented
- High level of attention to detail
- Adaptability to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processes
- Ability to work unsupervised and deliver quality work
- Positive and approachable manner
- Team player who is able collaborate with all management levels

**Job Type**: Part-time

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Peterborough, ON K9H 3R3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
