In this role, you will be setting up, operating and striking events using some of the latest technology. Being an AV tech at Infinity Convention Centre is unique to other roles in the AV industry. We are a small team of highly-skilled AV technicians. This allows us to not only react to changes quickly, it also allows our technicians to operate equipment very early in their AV career. While comprehensive knowledge of AV is a benefit, our priority is finding the right people and giving them the opportunity to develop their skills as an “Apprentice” while making Infinity Convention Centre's AV experience a memorable one for our clients.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Audio Management: Set up, operate, and troubleshoot audio equipment for live events, ensuring clear and quality sound reproduction.

2. Lighting Control: Design, program, and manage lighting for a variety of events, ensuring an optimal visual experience.

3. Video Production: Handle the setup, operation, and maintenance of video equipment including cameras, projectors, and screens.

4. Work closely with event coordinators, clients, and other stakeholders to meet technical requirements and ensure smooth execution.

5. Conduct routine checks and maintenance on all AV equipment, ensuring functionality and longevity.

6. Conducting regular inventory checks to make ensure we can consistently provide for our clients.

7. Stay updated with the latest trends, equipment, and technologies in the AV industry.

8. Assist with the transportation, loading, and unloading of equipment as needed.

9. Provide training and guidance to junior technicians or team members when required.

**Qualifications**:

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. - Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as per event requirements. - Ability to adapt to last-minute changes - Comprehensive knowledge of audio, lighting, and video equipment and software.

**Skills that Arenʼt Required but Beneficial**: - Minimum 1-2 years of experience as an AV Technician or in a related role is a benefit
- **Knowledge of any of the following**:◦ ChamSys - Lighting Software ◦ Q-SYS - AV Control System ◦ Midas Consoles ◦ Analog Way Video Switchers - A creative/entrepreneurial mindset is a huge benefit - at Infinity Convention Centre, we welcome people with ideas to improve our company. **Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract

**Salary**: $22.50-$28.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
