**Payroll/Accounts Payable Clerk - Full Time Contract Position (1 year)**

**Position Available**: We are currently looking for a new office member to support our team in a full-time contract position as a Payroll/Accounts Payable Clerk.

**What can I expect in this role?**

**You will**:

- Operate computers programmed with accounting software to record, store, and analyze information.
- Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes.
- Code documents according to company procedures.
- Calculate and prepare payments.
- Reconcile or note and report discrepancies found in records.
- Prepare and process payroll information.
- Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and post information onto designated records.
- Process and issue employee paychecks and statements of earnings and deductions.
- Compute wages and deductions, entering data into computers.
- Collect timecards and customer sheets each pay period.
- Process paperwork for new employees and enter employee information into the payroll system.
- Issue and record adjustments to pay related to previous errors or retroactive increases.
- Keep track of leave time, such as vacation, personal, and sick leave, for employees.
- Compile employee time, production, and payroll data from time sheets and other records.
- Post relevant work hours to client files to bill clients properly.
- Enter payroll information into databases or software programs.
- Correctly allocate PO#’s in Sage.
- Organize customer sheets
- File documents or records.
- Check data for recording errors.
- Perform general office duties, such as filing, answering telephones, and handling routine correspondence.

**How do I qualify?**

**You have**:

- Experience in a related industry such as construction or manufacturing is an asset
- Must have Sage and Excel Experience
- Attention to detail.

This is a Temporary Full-Time Contract Position for one (1) year. Hours of work consist of 40 hours/week. Pay is based on experience and ability. The pay range is $24.50-29.00/hour.
