Painter

Northplex Ltd., builds and sells modular residential homes and commercial buildings with unparalleled customer service in Western Canada. All modules are constructed in-house at our 165,000 square foot climate-controlled facility in Barrhead Alberta, using new and cutting-edge technology. As the manufacturer, we can control the process to provide quality homes on time and on budget for both developers and new home buyers.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Prepare and clean surfaces using methods such as scraping and sanding
- Cover surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape and paper to protect surfaces during painting
- Mix and thin paint accurately to obtain desired colour and texture
- Work within the larger team to create a safe, clean and efficient workplace
- Operate compressors, spray equipment and other small power equipment in a safe, efficient way
- Follow procedures accurately and carefully to ensure work is completed to highest standards
- Performs other related duties as required

**Qualifications**
- Grade 12 High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Painting experience is an asset
- Great attention to detail with ability to focus on tasks for a prolonged period of time
- Team oriented thinker, with the ability to work on a team or independently
- Perform duties in an organized and productive manner and in a fast paced environment
- Strong organizational skills, including effective prioritization and follow-up
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes
- Proven ability to work in a safe manner and follow safety procedures
- Ability to stand for long periods of times
- Ability to lift 50 pounds

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
